A great review for Polly Gibbons opening for Gladys Knight in Nottingham, from bluesandsoul.com:
“Polly’s vocals were firing on all cylinders tonight too. A really powerful performance, lots of light and shade in the material giving her the opportunity to show off her immaculate control, impressive range and above all else, her soul chops. To label Polly a jazz singer, would be doing her a disservice. She does that genre proud, but at the same time she is a born soul singer. Put the two together and you have something, or rather someone very special. Well, you have Suffolk-born Polly Gibbons.”
We are thrilled to announce that The Langston Hughes Project has won Jazz FM’s 2016 Live Experience of the Year award.
Ina Dittke & Associates helped bring the Langston Hughes Project to the Barbican in November 2015. It was performed by Professor Ron McCurdy and featured Ice-T as guest narrator, and received fantastic reviews.
Here’s a short video of the award being accepted by Ina and Judith Humenick (representing Ron McCurdy) plus a video speech from Ice-T!
