Ginger Baker announces ‘A Drummer’s Tale’

Ginger Baker has announced that he will play a very special one off event at O2 Islington Academy in London on Saturday the 3rd of May.

The show will feature performances of material from his exemplary recording career including music from Cream, Blind Faith, Graham Bond Organisation, Fela Kuti, Airforce, Baker Gurvitz Army and his current outfit Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion.

Ginger will be joined onstage by his band and some very special guests. Tickets are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

In conjunction with this show Ginger is releasing a career spanning anthology on CD and Vinyl, entitled ‘A Drummers Tale’ and an exclusive Photo Album via PledgeMusic. Reaching 75 is a milestone for any working musician but in the case of Ginger Baker it is truly worth celebrating.

Fans who pledge money to the project can get a first listen and look at this collection of tracks, chosen by Ginger, from all the different stages of his long and extraordinary career. In addition Ginger and his daughter Nettie Baker have compiled a very personal family album picture book of art, artwork, photos and other images many of them never seen before.
