Georgie Fame

Georgie Fame

“The evergreen Georgie Fame is peerless.” -The Guardian

After catching a break backing late 50s rock ‘n’ roll icons Billy Fury, Eddie Cochrane and Gene Vincent, Fame took the helm of Fury’s former backing band The Blue Flames in 1961. The rest is history. In a multifaceted career that spans jazz to American R&B to dance hall swing, Fame has toured with Count Basie, performed and recorded with Van Morrison, Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton, and collaborated with some of the finest jazz/blues artists of the era.
